01The project

A story for tonight

A parent gives LoreKind the lesson they’re working on, like patience, honesty or first-day nerves, and whatever their child is into this month: dinosaurs, space, football. LoreKind writes an original story around both.

Every story ends with a question to ask together, a plain answer for when the child gets stuck, and a bridge to the child’s own week. The parent is the user, not the child: generate it, close the laptop, read it aloud.

It ends with a question, not a moral.

02The problem

The same few fables

The same handful of classic fables doesn’t fit every kid, or every moment. Most story apps pick from a fixed library or personalise just a name, and a moral tacked onto the end is the fastest way to lose a kid’s attention.

Kids today are wired for stimulation. Bedtime is one of the last rituals built for the opposite.

03The approach

The lesson lives in the plot

Three steps: tell it the lesson, add their world, read it tonight.

  • No moral insideThe plot carries the lesson; the conversation is handed to the parent.
  • Recurring castEvery story remembers its characters.
  • Real contextA new sibling, a hard week, a first day.
  • Edit or rewriteAsk for a gentler version, or change the words yourself.
  • Reading modeStrips the screen to the words, keeps it awake, and sizes type for a dark room.
  • No child photosCharacters are invented, never likenesses.
